Sitel Work From Home Reviews

When searching specifically for employment working from home, it makes sense to go straight to the source.

Why bother with a generic job board site, when there are special jobs specifically dedicated to work opportunities where you can work from home?

However, not all such boards are created equal. And if you’re going to go down this route, it pays to read articles like this one that review such job boards.

This way, you have a clear picture of what your job with them might be like and whether it’s right for you.

This article zeros in on work from home jobs with the Sitel group. We’re going to kick things off by covering the basics, before delving into all of your most frequently asked questions.

At the end of the article, we’ll be wrapping up with my final verdict.

Please feel free to scroll ahead to any section that catches your attention. Here goes!

All About The Sitel Group

Sitel is a multibillion-dollar company that has been in business since as long as 1985.

And while it may be headquartered in Miami, Florida, it has a global reach, with a total of 79 office locations, based across 24 different countries.

The Sitel group earns its money predominantly from supplying out-sources business services.

A prominent feature of which is in customer relationship management, but it’s worth noting that this is not their sole offering, and they also support other business processes.

But while Sitel may have started out back in the 1980s, I can assure you that their procedures are right up-to-date and in line with the times.

Whereas customer relationship management used to typically require large call centers, these days employees can carry out such functions from the comfort of their own home.

And it’s not all strictly on the phone, employees can also be put to use on direct chat online. What’s more, there now seems to be more emphasis on brand engagement, incorporating social media channels.

And this leads us nicely onto our next section…

What Sort Of Work From Home Jobs Are Available?

While at the global level Sitel offers a very wide range of work at home opportunities , here in the US, the focus seems to be very much on customer service alone, albeit under a variety of labels.

As you may imagine, there can be a considerable variety of roles in the guise of customer service.

For example, you may be ordering services, troubleshooting for a customer, scheduling an appointment for a customer, supporting with billing enquiries, or answering questions about a product or service, or a customer’s account.

This assistance may be conducted by phone, email, chat, or even via social media.

Sitel work from opportunities can include full-time and part-time positions.

But one thing I think is important to note about these positions is that they are not necessarily always permanent ones, and there do seem to be a lot of temporary positions available relative to the number of permanent positions.

It’s also worth noting that on the main website where these “work from home” positions are listed by Sitel, available on this link, they are not all strictly working from home only jobs.

For example, I came across one job advertised that offers the flexibility to work from home or on-site.

Where Can I Find Sitel Work From Home Jobs?

One place to find Sitel work from home jobs is on their own website, which you can access on this link.

However, this is not the only place to find them, and you can also find them on some of the big job board sites, such as Indeed, and you can access any Indeed job listings on this link.

If you were to view the listings on one of the big job boards, this gives you the opportunity to view more employee reviews of Sitel. (You don’t have to, though, because I’ll be summarizing employee reviews very shortly.)

What Are The Requirements For A Sitel Work At Home Job?

One of the biggest drawbacks for Sitel work at home opportunities is that their policies require their employees to BYOC, which stands for Bring Your Own Computer.

However, you won’t be able to make do with just any old computer.

It has to have the Windows 10 operating system, have only wired peripherals (i.e. no Bluetooth mouse or keyboard), have a separate high resolution 19-inch monitor, an approved USB headset, an internet download speed of at least 5.0 MB, and have either the Windows Defender or Essentials antivirus protection installed.

And in addition to the hardware, Wi-Fi, and operating system requirements, you are also required to pass background checks before you can be accepted.

What Do People Say About Sitel Work From Home Jobs?

Ok, I’m just going to level with you. I have checked several websites online where people leave reviews on employers, and I just couldn’t get over how mixed the customer reviews were…

For example, On CareerBliss the average employee rating came in at 3.2 out of 5 when this article was written, which shows that there are nearly as many bad reviews and ratings for them as there are positive ones.

It’s a similar story on LinkedIn, where the average employee rating came in at 3.0 stars out of 5 when this article was written.

Likewise, on Glassdoor, Sitel had received an average employee rating of 3.7 stars out of 5.

As I looked through the various employee reviews, the main thing that struck me about them was that many of the employees had very different experiences working with the company.

For example, several employees said that their training was exemplary, while others complained that they were given no training whatsoever.

Answers To Your Most Frequently Asked Questions

Is Sitel At Home Legit?

I can confirm that the Sitel group is legit. However, it’s important to note that there scammers out there who will pretend to be contacting you from Sitel as a phishing scam to obtain your personal details.

So when interacting with Sitel online, please do so directly on their website, and not via emails that show up in your spam/junk email box.

Is Sitel A Good Company To Work For?

The average employee rating for Sitel tends to be very middle of the road, between 3 and 4 stars out of 5. There seem to be almost as many negative reviews for Sitel as there are positive ones.

Is Sitel Weekly Pay?

Sitel pays its employees on a bi-weekly basis, meaning that you will get paid once every two weeks. This way, you don’t have to wait until the end of the month to get paid.
But on the flip side, it’s not quite as convenient as getting paid every single week, which can come in handy if you make use of payday loans and such.

How Much Is The Salary In Sitel?

When this article was written, the average Sitel hourly pay ranged from about $14 per hour to about $21 per hour, depending on the exact job title and role.

Does Sitel Send Equipment?

I went through this earlier on. If you missed this earlier, please scroll back up to the section titled “What Are The Requirements For A Sitel Work At Home Job?”.

Are There Background Checks?

I can confirm that Sitel work from home opportunities do require background checks. Sometimes these checks only need to go back 3 years. However, some of the jobs require a background check going as far back as 7 years.

Final Verdict

In my view, the work from home opportunities listed by Sitel are certainly worth considering if you are attracted to the work from home lifestyle…

However, with the large majority of their opportunities lying within the field of customer service, you should first consider whether this is the right line of work for you.

Such work can be quite confrontational, and you are likely to be dealing with unhappy or even angry people on a regular if not frequent basis, which (take it from me) is not the nicest of jobs.

But don’t let my POV put you off.

While the employee reviews are quite mixed, provided you are happy to supply your own hardware, you may find that it’s not only easy money, but also that it has all the advantages of a work at home job.
