Airbnb Phone Number: How to Get in Touch With Airbnb Customer Service

Vacations no longer consist of the standard week-long stays in hotels and resorts.

Nowadays, companies like Airbnb allow you to rent more unique accommodations that are owned by other people, just like you.

Instead of getting another run-of-the-mill experience, Airbnb enables you to connect with the area, people, and culture by allowing you to stay in the homes of locals.

Services like Airbnb have opened the doors to one-of-a-kind experiences and have permanently changed the way people travel.

But sometimes things don’t always go as planned.

Every now and then, you may come across situations where you’ll need to reach out to Airbnb’s customer service with the Airbnb phone number.

We’ve tracked down every way you can contact Airbnb customer support if you’re facing a problem regarding your trip.

You’ll find Airbnb phone numbers and links to help center resources.

Airbnb Phone Numbers

In many instances, calling Airbnb customer support is the quickest way to find a solution to your issue.

If you prefer to talk to someone directly, the Airbnb phone number for guests within the United States is 1-855-424-7262.

Calling Airbnb directly is the right choice if you’re trying to get a refund for a previous trip, have questions about trip cancellations, or are having payment issues.

After dialing the Airbnb phone number, you should expect to encounter an average wait time from about five to 10 minutes.

After which time, an Airbnb customer service representative will take your call, and you’ll be able to talk to a real human.

To make the most of your time, you should always be upfront with your customer service agent and ask them if they’re able to help you with your issue.

It’s important to know whether or not they’re authorized to give you a refund.

If they can’t provide a refund, then you can request to talk with a manager who will be able to help you.

If you’re in the United States then you can use the phone number mentioned above.

However, if you’re traveling abroad, then you may need a different Airbnb phone number.

There are specific customer service phone numbers in countries all over the world.

Here’s the comprehensive list of international Airbnb customer service phone numbers.

But what if your issue isn’t that pressing? How can you try to find solutions on your own or email Airbnb support online?

If you don’t want to talk to a customer service rep by dialing an Airbnb phone number, there are plenty of other options.

Online Help Center

Airbnb phone number: the Contact Us page on the Airbnb website
Airbnb phone number: the "What do you need help with?" section of Airbnb's Contact Us page
Airbnb phone number: the "Message us" and "Call us" options on Airbnb
Airbnb phone number: the "Message us" page on Airbnb

Airbnb.com has an extensive online help center that helps you find solutions to your travel problems on your own.

This resource offers answers to lots of common customer questions.

And if you’re unable to figure things out on your own, then Airbnb will direct you to a portal where you can email customer support directly.

The first step is heading to the Airbnb contact page.

From there you can select the option that best describes your problem, like reservations, payments, refunds, and account information.

To use an example, we’ll select “My Airbnb Account.”

You’ll then be given additional options to describe what you need help with.

Perhaps you need help confirming your identity on the Airbnb platform, so you’ll tap on the top option of “Confirm Identity.”

You’ll then be directed to a page that has a few different options for you to choose from.

At the bottom of the page, you’ll find links to articles that might be able to answer your questions.

It’s in your best interest to look through the information provided and see if you can solve your issue independently first.

If these articles are of no help, then you can either message Airbnb directly or call.

If you decide to message Airbnb support, tap on the “Message us” option.

From there, you’ll need to describe your problem in the text box.

Be as descriptive as possible, but remember to never disclose any personal or financial information.

This is a best practice anytime you want to protect your online security.

After you’ve typed your message describing your problem, submit your response and wait to hear back from a customer service representative.

You should hear back within 24 hours.

But what if you’re not interested in contacting Airbnb customer support, but you’d rather contact your host for an upcoming or current trip?

Contact Your Airbnb Host

Airbnb phone number: the pop up window to contact your host on Airbnb

In order to contact your host for an upcoming, current, or previous trip, you can head to the Airbnb help section or navigate to your current trip within the mobile app.

From there, you can select to call or message your host.

It goes without saying that in order to contact your host, you need to be logged in to your Airbnb account so you can see your personal trip details.

Once signed in, you can navigate to the help section where you’ll be provided with a few different options.

First, you can decide to request a refund or send money if that’s what you’re looking for.

You can also browse around and find a great deal of helpful content regarding your trip.

If you would still rather talk to your host directly, then you can tap on the “Call or Message” button.

Depending on the host’s preferences, you’ll be able to call or message them directly.

As you can tell in the screenshot below, this host prefers that you message instead of call.

If you’re reaching out to your host on the mobile app, then the steps are nearly the same.

You navigate to your current trip to send a direct message to your host.

You can also go to your inbox to see previous Airbnb guest messages between you and your host.

Social Media Support

Social media channels can also be used to communicate with Airbnb customer support.

While this may not be the most effective use of your time, it will still get you on the right track to find a solution to your problem.

Airbnb phone number: the Airbnb Twitter page

Airbnb makes itself available on both Twitter and Facebook.

These are great resources for scrolling through and browsing other customer problems.

Sometimes you’ll be able to see issues other customers have had and how they were resolved.

You can also send direct messages, especially on Facebook.

Facebook Messenger will connect you directly with a support agent who will typically respond within an hour.

The downside to using these social media channels as a help portal is that instead of being helped by the person you initially contact, you’ll be redirected to another customer service agent who can handle your problem.

Therefore the social media moderators are, in a way, a middleman who connects you with the appropriate customer service agents.

Help When You Need It Most

Whether you’re traveling around the U.S. or globetrotting around the world, if you have an issue with your Airbnb account, the complete list of contact information above will point you in the right direction, regardless of where you’re at.

Everywhere from San Francisco to New York, and Mexico to France, Airbnb is on standby to help you out when you need it most.
