Job Description
American Express is currently hiring for remote, work-from-home customer service representatives.
Credit card companies — specifically American Express — hire hundreds of virtual customer care representatives to handle their customer service. When you call into their company to get help, you’re oftentimes speaking with a gig worker that is working from home.
A typical day in the life of a Customer Care Professional involves taking customer calls and addressing customer inquiries. A majority of your day will be spent on the phone, helping customers and employing sales techniques to earn more business.
The flexibility and continual stream of work means that this gig will keep you busy and help time pass quickly in the process.
Skills:
Responsibilities

Take inbound phone calls from customers needing help with American Express accounts, products, services, etc..

Consult with card members to address concerns and needs, promote benefits of American Express credit cards, update accounts, etc..

Handle any other type of questions, problems, or inquiries that arise on the call
Requirements

You must have at minimum a high school diploma, or equivalent

Applicants must have at least two years of customer service experience

Professional skills, including integrity to handle sensitive information, a passion for sales, and the stamina to handle many calls during a shift are required for this position
Bonus Points

Having a bachelor’s degree, or higher, is a plus, but not required
