Postmates Courier Support
Postmates doesn’t have a customer support phone number and it doesn’t have a courier support phone number either.
If you have an issue or concern as Postmates fleet member, you can contact Postmates through their website or you can check their fairly comprehensive FAQ database to see if your question or concern has been addressed.
If you have an issue with a specific order, you’ll be able to address it from within the Postmates Fleet app.
We’ll walk you through all these options below.
How to Contact Postmates Directly
You can contact Postmates directly by clicking this link and choosing which type of request you are submitting:
“General Help” or “Report a trust & safety incident.”
Regardless of which option you choose, you will be asked to complete a form with your full name, email address, phone number, how Postmates can help, a subject line, and a description of your question or issue.
You will receive an email from someone on the Postmates support team in response to your issue with a solution.
If the solution is not to your liking, you’ll be able to continue to correspond with that support representative through that email chain.
Another way to access this link is by scrolling all the way to the bottom of the Postmates Fleet Support Page page and click on “Contact Support.”
How to Contact Postmates Support on the App
If there is an issue with a specific order, you can contact Postmates Live Order Support from within the Fleet app.
To do this you must:
- Load the relevant order on your app
- Tap “View Pickup Info” on the delivery screen
- Select “Support”
- Choose the issue you’re dealing with from the menu
Some of these menu items will lead to other menus.
For example “Order Issue” will lead to “Need Additional Funds” and “Can’t Pay (Cancel),” so if you don’t see your exact issue on this menu, don’t fret.
Select the option that seems more relevant and you’ll have a more detailed support list to choose from on the next step.
You’ll get an immediate response to your support request, either in the form of an automated instruction or notification (for example, letting you know your request for additional funds has been approved and those funds are now available on your Postmates card) or from a live support person.
If a live support representative responds (and they usually do), you’ll be able to chat with them directly in the app and get your issue resolved right away.
Postmates Courier Support FAQ
If your question or concern is fairly common (like “How do I get paid?” or “How do I pay for Postmates orders?”), your best bet is to check the Postmates Courier Support FAQ.
You can browse articles or look for your question by using the search function.
Some of the most common questions and their answers are listed below.
What Is Postmates?
Postmates is an on-demand delivery service for everything from groceries to alcohol to cold medicine to a wrench from the hardware store to kitty litter.
If the item can be purchased in restaurants or retail stores in your city, it can be delivered by Postmates.
How Do Postmates Couriers Get Paid?
Postmates couriers are paid on a weekly schedule through direct deposit.
Postmates couriers can also access their earnings through “Instant Deposit,” which is an instant direct deposit into your bank account.
How quickly your earnings are available to spend will depend on your bank’s processing speed, with most banks making the money accessible within 30 minutes.
Some banks are slower and take up to a day.
It’s worth asking your bank how quickly they process direct deposits if you see yourself needing to take advantage of Postmates Instant Deposit option.
How Do I Sign Up for Postmates?
You can sign up for Postmates by clicking here and selecting “Sign Up” in the upper right-hand corner.

Postmates vs Other Delivery Apps Like Grubhub, Instacart, DoorDash
One of the best things about Postmates is the range of products it delivers.
Instead of being limited to just food or grocery delivery, Postmates couriers deliver everything from a screwdriver from the hardware store to beer for a party to pizza for dinner.
Because there are so many things people can order from Postmates, the order volume is high and the work stays interesting.
As a Postmates courier, you’ll never know whether your next order will be for kitty litter or Thai curry.
What Are the Postmates Requirements for Couriers?
Postmates couriers must meet certain requirements which are:
- 18 years of age or older
- Pass a criminal background check
- Pass a DMV background check
For more information, please check out our article on Postmates courier requirements.
What Are Postmates Perks?
Postmates Perks are some of the benefits couriers get for working with Postmates.
These perks include:
- Free Postmates Unlimited for every courier with 25+ completed deliveries each month
- Free Perkspot membership for every courier with 10+ completed deliveries each month
Couriers in Miami and San Francisco also have access to a free first submission through TIKD, a service which helps people handle parking tickets.
TIKD guarantees no points on your driver’s license or your money back, as well as helping you avoid late fees and interest-free ticket payment plans.
What Happens When a Customer Isn’t at the Destination?
In the unlikely event the customer isn’t available when you arrive to make the delivery, you should try contacting them.
If you cannot reach them, the Postmates app will allow you to note that the customer is not available within the order.
A five-minute timer will start once you mark the customer as unavailable.
If the customer doesn’t respond before the timer runs out, Postmates will instruct you to return the delivery to the retail store or restaurant.
Are Postmates Couriers Rated?
Yes, couriers are rated but not with a star rating system (unlike Uber or Grubhub).
Postmates chooses to avoid the star rating system in order to prevent couriers from being held responsible for circumstances outside their control, like if a food item was prepared incorrectly by the restaurant.
Customers are asked to rate their delivery as a whole with a thumbs up or a thumbs down.
A customer’s rating will never affect a courier’s standing or ability to stay on the Postmates platform.
A courier’s performance is judged instead by their adherence to the terms and conditions in the Postmates Fleet Agreement.
How Do I Pay for Postmates Orders?
Postmates provides all their couriers with a prepaid debit card in their Welcome Pack.
This card will contain the necessary funds for your deliveries.
You will not have to pay for delivery items yourself and be expected to submit for reimbursement.
If for some reason your prepaid card doesn’t have the necessary amount of funds for an order, you will be able to request additional funds from the order page.
Feel the Support
While Postmates doesn’t have a courier support phone number or offer support through social media, they do have a fairly comprehensive database of common issues and questions that couriers can access.
Postmates also offers the ability to communicate with them through a form on their website and, in the case of a specific order, through the order itself on your Postmates app.
While it would be nice to pick up the phone or be able to tweet at Postmates for troubleshooting help, who really wants to wait on hold for ages until someone is available to help?
Far better to be empowered with a fairly comprehensive ad FAQ database.
And you aren’t all on your own with fairly responsive help from their contact form and within the app.
It isn’t perfect, but Postmates Support will help you get your question answered or your issue resolved.
At the end of the day, that’s what really matters.
