How to Send a Referral Code
The unique referral link that you can share with new drivers is located within the profile section of your courier app.
Follow these simple steps to share your referral code with a friend.
First, open your delivery app and navigate to the profile section.
If your region is eligible to receive a referral bonus, you’ll see a “Refer Friends, Get $50” link at the top of the screen.
After you tap on the link, you’ll be given your unique referral code.
You can then choose the best way to deliver your code to your friend.
You can either copy the link yourself or you can send your referral code via text, email, or other messaging apps.
It’s important that you use this exact code and not another code found online.
Remember, you’ll only be compensated if this exact code is used during the application process.
How to Apply a Referral Code
In order for you to receive your bonus, the person you referred must remember to use the code when applying to become a driver.
At the very first step of the application process, the applicant will be given the option to paste in a referral code at the bottom of the form.

Peak Hour Pay
A great way to make more money driving for Caviar is to schedule your shifts during peak hours.
If you decide to drive during the busiest times, you’ll receive Peak Hour Pay which is a percentage-based bonus that’s added on to each delivery fare you complete.
To give you an example, if you schedule your next driving shift during a Peak Hour Pay period, you can earn an additional percentage on each delivery.
This bonus varies depending on the city, time of day, and demand of drivers, but can be anywhere from 10 to 40 percent and sometimes even more than that.
To schedule your next shift during peak hours, you need to first open your app and navigate to your profile information.
From there you can tap on the “Manage Schedule” link.
Next, you should select the day that you want to schedule.
At this point, you’ll be able to see the times that offer Peak Hour Pay.
Peak hours will be marked with nominal green percentages, like “+38%” or “+21%” that’s shown in the screenshot below.
While scheduling your shifts ahead of time gives you an idea of when Peak Hour Pay is in effect, you don’t need to schedule your shifts to receive these bonuses.
All drivers are eligible to receive Peak Hour Pay regardless of if they scheduled their shift or not.
Also, to see the extra earnings you received due to the bonus, you’ll be able to see the breakdown in your order details as two separate line items — “Base Pay” and “Bonus.”
Milestone Incentives
Milestone bonuses reward great drivers for driving often and maintaining high acceptance rates.
In a way, they’re challenges that drivers can complete to receive an extra bump in their paycheck.
Milestone incentives will vary and are offered to drivers based on certain delivery criteria like a certain number of deliveries completed, drop off location, their vehicle type, or acceptance rate.
The two different types of milestone incentives that drivers can receive are as follows:
- Ongoing Milestones: These are continuous challenges that aren’t completed until a specific date, at which point you’ll be paid.
- Example: “$150 bonus for completing 250 assignments in October.”
- One Day Milestones: These are one-day challenges that you complete to receive a payout within a few hours.
- Example: “$5 bonus for every two assignments completed between 45th and 56th Street. Monday to Friday ONLY.”
To see the current milestone incentives that are available, you need to open your app and head to your profile information.
Once there you should scroll down and tap on the “Milestones” link.
You’ll then be shown the current milestone bonuses that are available.
This is also where you can go to track the current progress of the challenges and bonuses you’re working towards.
While choosing to drive during peak hours and completing milestone bonuses are excellent proactive things you can do to earn more, sometimes you may find yourself on the defensive.
Every once in a while you’re going to get stuck with a parking ticket that you’ll have to pay.
The good news is that you aren’t completely on your own in these scenarios.
Assistance With Parking Tickets
Most drivers don’t know that Caviar will help out with the occasional parking ticket that you receive.
If you’re eligible to receive parking ticket assistance, Caviar will make an adjustment to your paycheck to help cover your legal fees.
It’s important to note that parking ticket assistance is not available in every city and cannot be applied to all of your parking tickets.
Only parking tickets that were incurred during your shift at pick-up and drop-off locations will be covered.
Also, once you receive an adjustment for your first ticket, you must complete 100 deliveries before receiving another adjustment on a new parking ticket.
Lastly, you’re still responsible for taking care of your ticket and sending in your payment in whatever form the ticket requires.
Caviar also states that it’s up to their discretion for each ticket and they won’t cover any late fees, so make sure you get everything squared up as soon as possible.
